After multiple rounds of assessment by industry experts, Defond is recognized by the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Guangdong Province as “Enterprise Technology Center” - a R&D institution established by companies focusing on innovation and technology advancement to make the local market more competitive. It takes the responsibility to execute research and development, create intellectual property, bring up talents and promote the implementation of technological innovation.

The general practice of most switches manufacturers is to add an external protective shell on a Rocker Switch for waterproof and dustproof purpose. Such design makes the switch bulky with an unpleasant operational feel.

Defond successfully made a breakthrough in design to tackle this challenge, presenting the patented GRT series IP67 Rocker Switch. 

The official opening ceremony of Defond Romanian Plant was held on Sep 22, 2022. It is another significant milestone of Defond’s development history.

Around 100 representatives from Defond’s management team, customers, suppliers, local authorities and other business partners attended this exciting and memorable event. During the ceremony, Defond CEO Mr. Richard Or gave an opening greeting onsite, and Chairman Mr. Wilson Chu delivered a welcome speech from Hong Kong through live streaming.

BOCHK Corporate Environmental Leadership Awards 2021 (the Awards) awarded Defond “Excellent Environmental Protection Enterprise” after comprehensive on-site assessment conducted by Hong Kong Quality Assurance Agency (HKQAA).
